How Can You Get Aids

“How can you get aids” is a common question for all people who want to live their lives happily. So it's necessary for all people to know the reason for aids and how it spread from one person to another. 

Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a disease that can decreases the immunity power of a human being. Aids affected person can not protect his or her body from any infection or disease. Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is responsible for this disease which is very harmful. It damages white blood cell - lymphocytes and reduce immunity power.

One person can get HIV when the virus is transmitted to his or her body. This transmission can be happened through body fluids like semen, virginal fluid and blood. Body fluids of an infected person always carry this virus even the amount of the fluid is small.

How can you get aids? There are several ways that a man can be affected by this disease. Sexual intercourse is one of the most prominent ways to get this disease in your body if your partner is carrying this virus.  In the time of sexual intercourse this virus can be transmitted through semen, virginal fluid or blood of the infected person. Sometimes cuts and sores on the penis, vagina and anus can transmit the virus from one person to another.

People who take drugs can also get this virus easily through injection.  Sometimes people share same needle for intravenous drugs or steroids. In that case if anyone of them has this virus then the other will be affected. The virus will be transmitted through the small amount of blood attached to the needle.

Aids virus can also attack a new born baby if the baby's mother is affected by this virus. During the pregnancy period the baby can get the virus from mother. The baby can also get this virus at the time of birth. After getting birth for the first six month babies are suppose to get breast milk. In the time of getting breast milk they can also be affected.

How Can You Get Aids

Health workers are at high risk for this disease. As they work in health centre they suppose to get contact with many patients. Sometimes they touch the fluid like feces, urine, nasal fluid, vomit, saliva which are enough to spread this disease. Health centre workers get infected when these fluids get direct contact with their eyes, mouth, cuts and sores.

How Can You Get Aids

There is another reason that you can get Aids. In the case of blood transfusion and organ transplant you will have HIV virus if the donor has. It's better to check first before donating blood or body organ.
